„RAIL MAGIC - a nostalgic book of pictures with view back of a past time: Steam engines, coal, the smell of soot. They are the track-sent rails still there, but which with the treasure of its visual experience René Groebli in memory calls here, is unique and can probably be felt never more in such a way. With its ability relating to crafts it documented a surreal experience, which earns the descriptor in the unmistakable picture language of the author „very valuable and lastingly “.
In cooperation with the gallery Andy Jllien Zurich, the in focus gallery Cologne and the Csaba Morosz photography’s Paris the 1949 from René Groebli photographed series of “Rail Magic” (appeared as catalogue 1949 with only 14 illustrations and for many years out of print and searched by collectors very much) was printed in September 2006 in an extended new edition.
