Neu im Bestand des Kunsthandels Hubertus Hoffschild sind Arbeiten des in Florenz lebenden Künstlers Andrew Smaldone.
In Andrew Smaldone’s paintings the ephemeral nature of the art object is explored through a focus on tonal variation and atmospheric space. The constructions in his work act as a framework, whereupon, the artist is able to study questions related to time, structure, space and permanence. Smaldone aims to present a detached perspective and yet offer deep introspection. There is a sense of silence that permeates these pieces creating a sanctuary, a place of meditation, creating the pause before continuation. |
