GWOTBOTS (Global War On Terror Robots), geschaffen von Richard Posner, einem in Amerika geborenen und in Berlin lebenden Handwerker, der in einem spärlich beleuchteten Hinterhof-Atelier tief gebeugt über einen Küchentisch voller Fundstücke und alter Dinge sitzt. Mit seiner Hände Arbeit fügt er sie, abrakadabra, zu Plastikspielvehikeln zusammen, Stück für Stück.

Die GWOTBOTS zeigen Posners virtuose Fähigkeit, second-hand Spielzeug in erstklasssige Kunstwerke zu verwandeln.

So Wie die Reiter in ‚Monty Python and The Holy Grail,’ ihre Kokosnushälften betätigen, benutzt Posner schwarzen Humor, um den Betrachter in ernste Späße zu verwickeln, ernsthaft.

GWOTBOTS (Global War On Terror Robots) ist ein Anagram für die Herzen (verbittert) und die Köpfe (verbrettert) der Koalition-des-Willens-Okkupation im Irak.

Die Namensvetter der Global War On Terror Robots sind Dörfer und Städte in denen terroristische Aktivitäten, d.h. unvorhersehbare und unberechenbare Kämpfe stattfinden.

Die hybriden Spielvehikel prallen in einem Niemandsland aufeinander, wo es keinen Frontverlauf und keine unschuldigen Zivilisten mehr gibt.
Jedes Plastikspielvehikel ist eine Herausforderung für die gegenwärtige US Administration, die sich darauf versteift hat, waffenstrotzend in der Welt umherzustolzieren.

Global War On Terror Robots stellen die Bedrohung durch die politischen Erpresser hinter dem Thron bloß.
Ein Paradebeispiel ist Mr. Karl Rove, der dem US Präsidenten ins Ohr flüstert, dass die Leute eine Lüge glauben, wenn sie nur oft genug wiederholt wird. Und: Wenn du nicht für uns bist, bist du für den Feind.
Aus der Sicht des GWOTBOT-Universums, macht diese alte Propaganda aus den Zeiten des Zweiten Weltkriegs und des Kalten Krieges, die aus den gesammelten Schriften von Joseph Goebbels, Stalin und dem letzten Zauberer der Smaragdenen Stadt stammt klar, in welchem Ausmaß das Bush Imperium einmal die Naturkatastrophen der dritten Welt ernten wird und wie es die Gewalttätigkeit Anno 2005 konfessioniert.

Mit den Worten des Komikers Will Rogers sagt Posner: „Leute, ich habe die Sachen nicht erfunden. Alles, was ich weiß stammt aus der Zeitung.“
