Jenkins studierte an der Art Students League in New York mit Yasuo Kuniyoshi und Morris Kantor. Währendessen lernte er Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner und Barnett Newman kennen. Seine Arbeiten haben auch Anklänge an die Lyrische Abstraktion und den Tachismus. - Composition in yellow, red, blue and pink. Watercolour on laid paper. Signed and dated by the artist's own hand at lower right. High quality framed in a white wooden frame, mounted there, unopened. Jenkins (1923-2012) studied at the Art Students League in New York with Yasuo Kuniyoshi and Morris Kantor. In the meantime he met Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner and Barnett Newman. His works are also reminiscent of Lyrical Abstraction and Tachism.
