Along with George Huebner, the German Charles Kroehle is considered the pioneereing photographer of the Amazon in Peru. This comprehensive collection offers an extensive impression of landscapes and settlements, farming, marketplaces industrial buildings such as bridges, railroad lines and stations. Other images show indigenous people and portraits of European settlers, landscapes and housing of the area. – Some with slight fading in edges, some light handling marks/creases, some with reddish spots, otherwise most in good to very good condition.
